Obituary
During the morning hours of February 24, 2024, Ruth Marie (Kilps) Bradley, 99, of Washington, passed away with her family by her side. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Everyone who met her loved her. She loved spending time with her family and she especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Ruth was born on June 20, 1924, to Mathias and Theresa (Kidwell) Kilps. She attended school at Washington Catholic High School, graduated in 1942, and then attended Vincennes University where she was a member of Beta Sigma Pi. Ruth worked for the McCord Corporation, and later, Killion Office Products in Washington.
Ruth was a woman of great faith and was a devoted member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She was a recipient of the St. Vincent DePaul Bruté Society Award from the Diocese of Evansville in 1998.
Those who now mourn Ruth's passing include her children: Mary Lynn (Mark) Hedge; Theresa "Ann" (Gary) Klueh; Jane (Edward) Long; Steve Bradley; Joan (Carmin) Schnarr; Lisa (Dale) Liles. Ruth leaves twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Leonard Bradley; and her children: David Bradley; John Bradley; Carolyn (Jeff) Crist; and Paula Lawson.
Visitation for Ruth Marie Bradley will be 9:30-11:30 am, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd Street, Washington, Indiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth Marie Bradley will be celebrated at 11:30 am, following the visitation time, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, also at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Father Paul Ferguson will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Washington.
